Surprise Legal Malpractice Attorney Law Firm

We have a Surprise legal malpractice attorney at The Entrekin Law Firm ready to assist you right now.

Generally, legal malpractice consists of three parts: (1) the damages the client has suffered; (2) causation; and (3) the wrongs the lawyer has committed. In order to obtain financial compensation, the client must prove all three parts of his or her claim.

Because a legal malpractice claim is difficult, one should not be brought unless damages are very substantial.  In Arizona, damages for emotional harm are not recoverable in a legal malpractice case, with rare exceptions.

With causation, the client must show that the damages suffered would not have been suffered but for the wrongs the lawyer committed.

With regard to the wrongs the lawyer committed, a client must show that the lawyer failed to act as a reasonable and prudent lawyer would have acted in the same circumstances.  There also some claims based on intentional conduct of the lawyer, such as conflict of interest.

Because of certain elements which must be proved to win a legal malpractice case, we do not handle legal malpractice cases involving family law, criminal law or bankruptcy law.
